what is counselling?

Counselling is an umbrella term

that is used to describe 'talking

therapies'. Essentially it is 

allowing a person the space to 

explore and process thoughts,

feelings, behaviours, past experiences or anything that is causing distress or difficulty in a safe, confidential place with a trained therapist.  Past

or present feelings or problems can be discussed. You may wish to

discover the root of the problem or increase self awareness. The therapy can be tailored to suit your wishes and needs.

I do not believe in a one size fits all approach.

The eventual aim of therapy is to

bring about positive change

and increase emotional well being.


My name is Emily Reeve and I am a humanistic and integrative
